Wow, I can’t believe that I haven’t updated this site for a year! Shame on me. I have so many gorgeous photos to share, taken over the past year, and I promise that I will be working on doing just that in the coming weeks! Fall Special!

Hi everyone! I hope you are all loving fall as much as I am! The leaves are gorgeous and the weather has been so fine, what more could we ask for?!

To celebrate this beautiful season, I am super excited to announce my fall special! From now until the end of November, mini sessions are just $100 when you bring along a non-perishable food donation for Feed NS to your shoot! As someone gleefully reminded me today, the holidays are literally right around the corner (2 months from Monday is Christmas day omg!) - you all need beautiful photos to share with your families, and Feed NS is entering its busiest time of year for donations, so I am thrilled to offer a special that is beneficial to everyone! :)

Included in the mini session: 30 to 60 minutes of shooting time at an outdoor location of your choice and a CD of the best images from the shoot, selected and processed by me. The number of images will vary depending on how long we shoot for, but you can generally expect between 15 and 30 images from a mini session.

If you are hoping to use the vibrant colors of the fall foliage as the backdrop for your photos, don’t delay…they will likely only be on the trees for 2 more weekends! Contact me today via the contact page on this site, or at brianna.cook@gmail.com, to book your session!

Sneak Peek: Jaxon

This adorable little guy is my baby cousin, Jaxon! He’s 18 months old now (almost 19!), and is such a funny dude. He is definitely a boy’s boy (like a man’s man, but the toddler version haha), no doubt about it. He loves cars, tractors, motorcycles, and basically anything with an engine that goes vroom! He’s a rough and tumble little guy, and has a hilarious assortment of growly monster noises that he makes constantly (when he’s not chattering away in his baby talk or telling YOU ‘don’t!” when HE does something naughty!). He’s a busy little toddler, and there is never a dull moment when he is around. More photos of this little guy will definitely be seen here in the future! :)

Sneak Peek: Julia + Brooklyn

First, I have to say that I am so in love with these photos! Maybe it’s because the time I spent with these two was filled with nothing but laughter, fun, and lots of antics, or maybe it was the delicious light that we were lucky to have today. It was yet another perfect day for photos, and I was so glad to spend my afternoon with Julia & Brooklyn! I’ve known Julia for practically my whole life (we met at age 5!) and I am so proud of the person she is today – her daughter, Brooklyn, is a testament to how amazing Julia is. It’s pretty cool to see these two together as they are SO similar in both looks and personality! It’s actually a bit unnerving. :) The afternoon was super hot (HELLO, indian summer!), but these two were troopers…they did everything I asked, and more, with zero complaints. We had such a wonderful afternoon, and I feel so lucky to have captured these photos for them. Thanks, J + B! Hopefully we can do it again soon!

Rainy Day Update

Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a great weekend. It’s raining here in the HRM, so I am spending the day burning photo CDs for clients and attempting to sort through my huge backlog of photos (holy smokes I have taken a lot of photos since May!).

I have an exciting mother/daughter shoot scheduled for tomorrow, so hopefully the weather will be on our side! We are shooting in several locations and I am really looking forward to the session. Look for a sneak peek of the shoot here on the blog tomorrow night!

I still have some space for next weekend if anyone wants to take advantage of my introductory special! I have several exciting promotions to announce in the coming weeks, and I will share them here as soon as they are ready to go.

Time is Ticking!

Fall is nearly upon us, and there are just 2 full weekends left to take advantage of my special introductory rates! The weather has been lovely, and it is an absolutely beautiful time of year for photos. Space is tight, but I still have room on my calendar for several sessions on both weekends, and a few open evenings on weekdays. Here’s a reminder:

Delicious Light

Just a quick post tonight to share a couple of new favorites that I captured over the weekend. How gorgeous is that sun flare?! I hit the beach at the perfect time, and I couldn’t get over how pretty the light was – golden sunshine when I first arrived, and pink sky and ocean as the sun set. I was in my glory, reminded of why I love taking photos in such naturally beautiful settings, and there will be more photos to share from that day for sure. For now, I hope you enjoy these as much as I do! Happy Monday. :)

Sneak Peek: Baby Claire

Oh my, what can I even say about this sweet baby girl?! Claire is a little beauty with those gorgeous eyes and toothy grin, and she is also quite the comedian! She’s 8 months old now, and has recently perfected a crazy-fast crawl. It’s so cute to see how excited babies are when they reach their mobility milestones, and I had a great time snapping photos as Claire crawled and scooted around! Claire’s mom and dad are both super tall, and she is definitely taking after them already…on the day of our photo shoot, she measured 2’9! I think we have a model/basketball player in the making. :) Thank you, Fisher family, for a lovely afternoon!!

Humbled!

Hello friends! First and foremost, thank you so much to everyone who has visited my site and sent kind words my way this week – I am overwhelmed by your response! In just 3 short days, this site has been visited by 235 unique visitors with nearly 1100 pageloads – words can’t properly express how humbled and proud this makes me feel. This is a very exciting time for me, and every pageload truly feels like a gift!

I have a sneak peek of some adorable baby photos in the works, and I am also hoping to scout out some new locations this weekend. I’m considering setting aside a day to shoot in the valley (Wolfville, perhaps?) once the leaves start to change – I could fit several mini sessions into a weekend day, so let me know if you are interested!
